Cheryl knits through Imperial Russia
The Hoffmans and Paulsons made a quick trip to Russia at the end of April to visit Hoffman daughter Susannah (studying this term at the Moscow Arts Theater) and view some of the fabulous paintings at the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. Wherever she went, Cheryl celebrated a new beginning in U.S. foreign policy by stitching on her Obama socks (using All Fired Up wool from Ceyeberfibers). In these pictures she’s knitting by the Tsar Cannon and Tsar Bell in the Kremlin, outside the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg and by the throne in St. George Hall in the Hermitage. Looks like the tsars had advanced taste in carpet colors.
