Perfectly Posh: Dream in Color Club yarn for December
The Dream in Color yarn for December is Perfectly Posh, one of the highest-quality, most luxurious yarns ever created by Dream in Color. This fingering-weight yarn is a buttery soft single ply that has amazing loft and bloom. All the fibers used in this yarn are top quality, especially the mohair, which is the finest, softest mohair available anywhere. The fiber combination of Perfectly Posh is 70 percent wool, 10 percent cashmere, 10 percent silk and 10 percent kid mohair. The yarn costs $36 for a 100-gram, 360-yard skein. This month’s pattern, designed by Kay Dahlquist and free with purchase of the yarn, is Seychelles, a shoulder cozy that will keep you warm this winter while evoking dreams of island breezes and sandy beaches. It’s a quick, easy knit that would make a wonderful holiday gift for someone–maybe even yourself. To recap how the Dream in Color Club works, as close to the beginning of the month as possible we post the name of the yarn and a picture of the pattern on our website, www.atangledskein.com, and also send a notice to everyone on our e-mail list. Availability is first-come, first-served, so as soon as you can, stop by the shop or call us with a credit card to reserve your yarn and pattern. The pattern can be e-mailed to you, or you can pick up a black-and-white copy at the shop. Once it’s gone, the yarn won’t be available again. By the way, we still have three skeins of the yarn for November, a light worsted, 100 percent domestic, single-ply merino called Calm. The pattern, also by Kay Dahlquist, is Carmen, a pair of opera mitts that will be a great addition to any winter coat. The pattern is free with purchase of the yarn, which costs $18.
